The Cultural Easton

Remembrance, Honor and Community. The Easton 2025 Memorial Day Parade.

On Monday, May 26, the Town of Easton hosted its annual Memorial Day Parade. Our Veterans, Firefighters, Police and EMS, and First Selectmen marched along with the Helen Keller Middle School band, Easton Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Brownies.

In addition, there were antique tractors, cars, Silverman’s apple train and Dan and Tracy Carlucci’s blue Westfalia Bus, showcasing Easton’s quaint small town and farming community charm.

Residents lined the streets, while children stood on the sidelines, anticipating the sprawl of candy that was about to shower the streets from the passing floats.

A ceremony honoring those who gave their lives defending America and our freedoms followed the parade.

Isabel Mariani sang the National Anthem and God Bless America The opening invocation and closing benediction was officiated by several Easton church leaders.

First Selectman Dave Bindelglass and Dr Vincent Mace addressed the crowd about the importance of
maintaining a spirit of unity in town, while connecting Easton residents with local and national military history and the individuals who have served and sacrificed their lives in the name of Freedom.

After the ceremony, remembrances were held at Easton Cemeteries.

It was a rather perfect and celebratory day for the entire town!
